“CLOTHING ARTICLE”
[0001] The present invention relates to an article of clothing and more specifically to articles of clothing such as disposable diapers, training pants for hygiene and brief incontinence.
[0002] Conventionally, disposable diapers formed with a waist opening and a pair of leg openings where the periphery of the waist opening is adapted to be folded towards the side not facing the skin are known. For example, JP 2003-305083 A (LPT1 1) discloses a diaper in which a waist opening provided with a high friction member being formed of, for example, urethane foam or elastomer so that the waist opening can be folded along a lower end of this high friction member, in other words, the high friction member can serve as a guideline for the fold of the high friction member.
[0003] Patent Literature
[0004] [LPT 1]: JP 2003-305083 A
[0005] There is a possibility that the high friction member attached to the waist opening could unacceptably increase the stiffness of the waist opening as a whole and deteriorate the feel of the diaper wearer. Without the high friction member, however, the waist opening will not be formed with any guide line and, as a consequence, it will be difficult to bend the waist opening.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide an improved garment so that a waist opening that can be easily folded along a fold line extended in a transverse direction without increasing stiffness in the vicinity of the waist opening.
[0007] The present invention relates to an article of clothing having a longitudinal and a transverse direction, and including a chassis including a side facing the face, a side not facing the face
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 11/74

The chassis includes front and rear waist ends extended in the transverse direction and side edges extended in the longitudinal direction. The front and rear waist regions are joined together along side edges where a waist opening is defined by the front and rear waist ends and a pair of leg openings being defined by the front and rear waist ends respectively adjacent to the region crotch and the lateral crotch edges.
[0008] In the article of clothing, the present invention further includes the following characteristics. The front and rear waist ends are harmonized at a distance from the front and rear ends of the liquid-absorbent structure and this distance dimension is uniform in the front and rear waist regions. A dimension in the longitudinal direction of the liquid-absorbent structure overlapping the front and rear waist regions being in a range of 70 to 98% of a total dimension in the longitudinal direction of the front and rear waist regions. The front and rear waist regions respectively include first regions extended from the front and rear waist ends towards the side of the crotch region and at least partially overlapping the liquid-absorbent structure and second regions adjacent to the associated first regions. The first regions are respectively provided with a plurality of first waist elastics extended in the transverse direction, contracted under tension to the respective first regions at a distance from the front and front ends of the structure

3/24 liquid absorbent. Tension effort in the first regions is less than in the second regions.
[0009] According to a configuration of the present invention, the respective second regions are provided with a plurality of second waist elastics extended in the transverse direction and tightly fixed to them under tension and the first waist elastics having a fineness less than that of the second waist elastics and a stretch radius greater than that of the second waist elastics.
[00010] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the liquid-absorbent structure includes a liquid-absorbent core, a packaging sheet adapted to package the core and the front and rear flaps seated on the outside of the front and rear ends of the core as seen in the longitudinal direction and respectively defined by the packaging sheet, where the first elastics are fixed so that they overlap at least partially with the front and rear flaps.
[00011] According to yet another configuration of the present invention, a stress load of the respective first regions corresponding to 70 to 90% of a stress load of the respective second regions.
[00012] According to yet another configuration of the present invention, the front and rear waist regions additionally include third seated regions adjacent to the side of the respective second regions close to the crotch region and then the front and rear waist regions being divided into the first regions , second regions and third regions where a tension effort from the respective third regions is adjusted to be less than that of the second regions.
[00013] According to yet another configuration of the present invention, a stress load of the respective second regions is 15 to 50% higher than that of the respective third regions.

[00014] According to yet another configuration of the present invention, the crotch region includes a pair of appendix sheaths extended in the longitudinal direction and spaced apart from each other in the transverse direction and these appendix sheaths being provided with elastic sheaths extended in the longitudinal direction and fixed in a contracted way in them under tension, where the elastic sheaths are fixed at a distance from the front and rear waist elastics seated closest to the side of the crotch region.
[00015] According to a configuration of the present invention, the distance dimensions between the front and rear waist elastics seated near the ends of the respective elastic sheaths are respectively in a range from 1 to 25 mm.
[00016] According to one or more configurations of the present invention, the front and rear waist regions respectively include the first regions extended from the ends of the front and rear waist regions towards the side of the crotch region so as to overlap at least part of the liquid-absorbent structure and elasticized in the transverse direction and the second seated regions adjacent to the associated first regions and elasticized in the transverse direction, where the tensile strength of the first region is sufficiently less than that of the second regions to facilitate the first regions to be expanded in the transverse direction. Said first regions can be easily folded along the front and rear ends of the liquid-absorbent structure and, thus, the front and rear waist regions can be folded without increasing the stiffness in the vicinity of the waist opening.
[00017] For a better understanding of the invention, a detailed description will be made to it, with respect to the attached drawings, presented in an exemplary and non-limiting character, in which:

[00018] Figure 1 is a perspective view of a disposable diaper 10 with a waist opening 15 as well as leg openings 16 being held in annular states. Figure 2 is a flat plan view of the diaper 10 as seen from the side facing the skin with respective elastic diaper members being held in a stretched state to keep diaper 10 in a flat state. Figure 3 is a sectional view taken along line III-III of Figure 2. Figure 4 is a sectional view taken along line IV-IV of Figure 2. Figure 5 is an exploded view corresponding to Figure 2. On the respective right sides of an imaginary longitudinal central line PP in Figures 3 and 4, the respective elastics are illustrated to be left contracted.
[00019] Diaper 10 has a longitudinal direction Y and a transverse direction X including a side facing the skin a side not facing the skin opposite the side facing the skin, that is, a side facing the clothing, a region front waist 11, a rear waist region 12 and a crotch region 13 extended between the waist regions

6/24 front and rear 11, 12. Diaper 10 has an imaginary longitudinal center line PP forking a dimension in the transverse direction X and an imaginary center line extended transversely QQ forking a dimension in the longitudinal direction Y where diaper 10 is formed so to be substantially symmetrical over the imaginary longitudinal centerline PP as well as over an imaginary centerline extended transversely QQ.
[00020] The diaper 10 includes front and rear waist members 20, 30 spaced apart in the longitudinal direction Y and a crotch member 40 by means of which the front and rear waist members 20, 30 are connected together.
[00021] The front and rear waist members 20, 30 respectively have side edges 21,31 spaced apart from each other in the transverse direction X. Side edges 21, 31 cooperate to form a pair of seams 14 so that the waist members front and rear 20, 30 are joined together along these seams 14. After being joined in this way, the waist opening 15 and the pair of leg openings 16 are formed. Specifically, the front and rear waist members 20, 30 may be joined together along the side edges 21, 31 thereof to define the waist opening 15 by those front and rear waist ends 22, 32 and to define the openings of the legs 16 by the front and rear crotch ends 23, 33 adjacent to the crotch member 40 and the lateral edges of the crotch member 40. The regions in which the seams extend in the longitudinal Y direction are referred to as the front and rear waist regions 11, 12. The front and rear waist members 20, 30 respectively include the front and rear waist ends 22, 32 adapted to define the waist opening 15 and the inner ends 23, 33 seated adjacent to the crotch region 13 and adapted to partially define the leg openings 16. The

7/24 front and rear waist members 20, 30 respectively include inner leaves 24, 34 seated on the side facing the skin and outer leaves 25, 35 seated on the side facing the garment.
[00022] The front and rear waist members 20, 30 and part of the crotch member 40 cooperate together to define the chassis according to the present invention.
[00023] The crotch member 40 includes a liquid-absorbent structure 41, appendix 50 sheaths, leakage barrier sheaths 60. The liquid-absorbent structure 41 includes a liquid-absorbent core 42, a sheet storing the absorbent surface 43 adapted for storing an absorbent surface of the core 42 as a wrapping sheet for the core 42, a sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45 adapted to pack a bottom surface of the core 42 and the leak barrier sheet 44 interposed between the bottom surface of the core 42 and the sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45. As the core material 42, cellulose pulp, super-absorbent polymer particles, or a mixture thereof packed with a liquid-permeable sheet such as tissue paper or fibrous non-woven material may be used. Said core 42 has a contracted shape whose dimension in the transverse direction X is gradually reduced towards the imaginary central line extended transversely Q-Q.
[00024] The core has a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the same which can be in a range of approximately 300 to 410 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 310 to 380 mm. The sheet containing the absorbent surface 43 and the leakage barrier sheet 44 respectively have a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the same greater than the dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the core 42 and can be in a range of approximately 350 to 450 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 370 to 430 mm. 8/24 liquid-absorbent structure 41 is formed on the outside of core 42 as seen in the longitudinal direction Y with front and rear flaps 46, 47 each of which exclusively consists of the sheet housing the absorbent surface 43, the leak barrier sheet 44 and the sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45. On each of these front and rear flaps 46, 47, the sheet wrapping the absorbent surface 43, the leakage barrier sheet and the sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45 are bonded together by bonding means like an adhesive heat-melted. According to this configuration, a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the front and rear flaps 46, 47, that is, a distance from the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid-absorbing structure 41 to the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of the core may be approximately 30 mm. In this sense, the liquid-permeable sheet of the core 42 may extend externally beyond the front and rear ends 42a, 42b if the situation leads to this, and in that case, the front and rear flaps 46, 47 may include leaves permeable to the net, respectively.
[00025] As sheet material packing the absorbent surface 43, a liquid-permeable fibrous non-woven material may be used. More specifically, as this sheet wrapping the absorbent surface 43, for example, a fibrous non-woven material through air, a dot-bound non-woven material or a continuous filament non-woven material, each having a weight per unit area in a range of approximately 10 to 25 g / m 2 can be used.
[00026] As material of the leak barrier sheet 44, a liquid-impermeable plastic film can be used and the lower surface of the core 42 can be packed at least with this sheet 44 to prevent body fluids such as urine from leaking out of the diaper 10 .

[00027] As sheet material conditioning the bottom surface 45, a fibrous non-woven material impermeable to liquid but permeable to moisture may be used. More specifically, as this sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45, for example, continuous filament fibrous nonwoven material (SMS) and by blow spinning, dot-bound fibrous nonwoven material or a continuous filament fibrous nonwoven material each having a weight per unit area in the range of approximately 10 to 25 g / m 2 can be used.
[00028] The exterior of the core 42 as seen in the X cross direction, the sheet wrapping the absorbent surface 43, the leak barrier sheet 44 and the sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45 respectively extended externally beyond the core 42 cooperate together to define a pair of sheaths in Appendix 50. These sheets are bonded together by means of connection such as heat-melted adhesive. In each of the sheaths of the appendix, the sheet affixing the lower surface 45 forms a joint within the elastic sheath 51 extended in the longitudinal direction Y being fixed. The elastic sheath 51 includes a plurality of elastic wires or lines that are tightly secured under tension. As elastic sheath material 51, elastic threads or threads having a fineness of approximately 620 dtex can be used and can be fixed within a stretched radius of approximately 280%.
[00029] The leakage barrier sheaths 60 are formed from the sheet wrapping the bottom surface 45 externally extended beyond the sheaths of Appendix 50 and folded into the liquid absorbent structure 41 substantially in the form of Z. Between the layers defined by both lateral extensions of the sheet conditioning the lower surface 45, elastic barriers 61 each including a plurality of elastic threads or thread extending in the longitudinal direction Y and being fixed under tension. The leakage barrier sheaths 60 are attached to the sheaths in the appendix

10/24 only along the front and rear ends thereof and the remaining regions not being attached to the sheaths in Appendix 50. Consequently, the leakage barrier sheaths 60 are spaced upwards from the sheaths in Appendix 50 under the effect of the contractile force of the elastic barriers 61.
[00030] During the use of diaper 10, the leakage barrier sheaths 60 are spaced on top of the sheet, conditioning the absorbent surface 43 in order to come into close contact with the inguinal regions of the user (a) and the sheaths of Appendix 50 being also elasticized in the longitudinal Y direction by the elastic barriers 51 so that the appendix sheaths can be curved towards the user's body and kept in close contact with the user's thighs (a). In this way, the leakage barrier sheaths 60 cooperate with the respective sheaths in Appendix 50 to define double sheaths making it possible to prevent body fluids such as leaking urine beyond the periphery of the leg openings.
[00031] The sheet conditioning the lower surface 45 is connected to the respective inner sheets 24, 34 of the front and rear waist members 20, 30 and thus the front and rear waist members 20, 30 being connected to the crotch member 40. The structure liquid-absorbent 41 is attached to the crotch member 40 so as to overlap the front and rear waist regions 11, 12. One dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the liquid-absorbent structure 41 overlapping the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 in this way being in the range of approximately 70 to 98%, preferably in the range of approximately 96% and more preferably in the range of approximately 90 to 96% of a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the front and rear waist regions 11, 12. One dimension distance t1 from the front and rear waist ends 22, 32 from the front and rear waist members to the front and rear ends
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 20/74
11/24 rear 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41 may be in a range of approximately 5 to 25 mm, preferably in the range of 10 to 20 mm. According to this configuration, the distance dimension t1 is set at 10 mm.
[00032] The elastic sheaths 51 are attached to the respective sheaths of the appendix outside the overlap with the respective third elastic waistbands 83 in the state of the front waist member 20, the crotch member 40 and the rear waist members 30 connected together in this order.
[00033] More specifically, the elastic sheaths 51 are attached to the respective sheaths of the appendix so that the front and rear ends 51a, 51b of the respective elastic sheaths 51 can be spaced apart from the third elastic waist 83 without overlapping with those third elastic bands waist 83 seated close to the crotch region 13.
[00034] A distance dimension t2 between the respective elastic sheaths 51 and the associated third elastic bands 83 may be in a range of approximately 1 to 25 mm and, in this configuration, the distance dimension t2 is established in approximately 10 mm.
[00035] Each of the front and rear waist members 20, 30 includes a first region 71 extended from the front and rear waist end 22 or 32 towards the crotch region 13, a second region 72 being adjacent to the first region 71, and a third region 73 being adjacent to the second region 72. The first region 71 and the second region 72 are divided among themselves along an imaginary line 74, and the second region 72 and the third region 73 being divided among themselves along a line imaginary 75. In this configuration, imaginary lines 74, 75 are respectively positioned in the middle of the respective pairs of adjacent elastics with the one seen in the longitudinal Y direction. The first, second and third regions 71,

72, 73 in the front and rear waist regions 11, 12, respectively, are adapted to be connected to each other in an annular form.
[00036] The front and rear waist members 20, 30 are respectively provided with waist elastics fixed between the inner and outer sheets 24, 25, 34, 35, respectively. More specifically, the first, second and third waist elastics 81.82, 83 are attached to the first, second and third regions 71, 72, 73, respectively. The first, second and third waist elastics 81, 82, 83 are formed from a plurality of elastic threads or lines continuously extending from one side of the respective side edges 21, 31 to a remaining side of the respective side edges 21, 31. The first, second and third elastic bands of waist 81, 82, 83 can be fixed under tension in the transversal direction X to the first, second and third regions 71, 72, 73 to elasticize the first, second and third regions 71,72, 73 in the transversal direction X.
[00037] As material for the first elastic waist 81, elastic threads or lines having a fineness in a range of approximately 320 to 620 dtex can be used and harmonized in a spacing in a range of approximately 4 to 12 mm, preferably in a range approximately 5 to 8 mm. In this configuration, a plurality of elastic threads having a fineness of 470 dtex are harmonized so that they are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction at a spacing of approximately 8 mm. In this sense, the term “spacing” used here means a center-to-center distance from adjacent elastic threads (this definition is also applicable to the description given below). A stretch radius of the first elastic waist 81 can be in a range of approximately 210 to 270% and, in this configuration, this stretch radius is set at 240%. In this sense, the term “stretch radius” used here, means that, for example, the 200% stretch radius is the value at the moment of the elastic member having a length of
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 22/74
13/24 approximately 100 mm being stretched to approximately 200 mm (this definition is also applicable to the description given below). The elastic threads constituting the first rear waist elastics 81 positioned close to the crotch region 31 overlapping with the front and rear flaps 46, 47 of the liquid-absorbing structure 41. A dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the respective first regions 71 may be in one range of approximately 20 to 40 mm, and in this configuration, this dimension being set at approximately 30 mm. The respective second elastic bands 82 are attached to the second regions 72 so as to extend through the front and rear flaps 46, 47 as well as the front and rear ends 42a, 42b to overlap the core 42 in this way.
[00038] As material of the second elastic waistband 82, the elastic threads having a fineness in a range of approximately 620 to 1240 dtex and harmonized in a spacing in a range of approximately 4 to 12 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 5 to 10 mm. In this configuration, as material of those second elastic 82, a plurality of elastic threads having a fineness of approximately 940 dtex is used and harmonized so that they are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction Y at a spacing of 10 mm. A stretch radius of the second waist elastics 82 can be in a range of approximately 190 to 240% and, in this configuration, this stretch radius is set at approximately 240%. A dimension in the longitudinal direction Y of the second regions 72 provided with the second elastic bands of waist 82 may be in a range of approximately 25 to 100 mm, and in this configuration, being established at 30 mm.
[00039] As material of the third elastic waist 83, elastic threads having a fineness in a range of approximately 320 to 780 dtex
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 23/74
14/24 can be used and harmonized in a spacing in a range of approximately 4 to 12 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 5 to 10 mm. In this configuration, a plurality of elastic threads having a fineness of 470 dtex are harmonized so that they are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction Y in a spacing of approximately 10 mm. A stretch radius of the third elastic yarns 83 may be in a range of approximately 190 to 240% and, in this configuration, this stretch radius is set at approximately 200%.
[00040] In the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 as described above, the stretching radius of the first regions 71 and the third regions 73 being established to be less than the stretching radius of the second regions 72.
[00041] The stretch radius was measured using a method as described below.
[00042] From diaper 10 having side edges 21, 31, remaining in a united state, the first, second and third regions 71, 72, 73 were cut and used as test pieces, respectively. In the course of cutting the test pieces, the regions in which the liquid absorbent structure 41 is present have been cut together with the liquid absorbent structure 41 so that this structure 41 can still be included in the test pieces. In each of these test pieces, a distance between the inner ends of the opposite seams, a distance between the inner ends of the opposite seams 14 left in a contracted state under the effect of the associated elastics was designated as SW and a distance between the inner ends of the seams opposite 14 stretched in the transverse direction X against the contractile force of the respective elastics called PW. A dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the respective regions was designated as L.
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 24/74

[00043] The respective test pieces were fixed to stamp the AUTOGRAPH (manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation) spaced apart by a distance corresponding to the SW and then stretched at a printing speed of 100 mm / min at a distance of 0.875 x PW . The contractile force at the point of time that the inter-stamping distance increased to 0.875 x PW being recorded as the total stress effort Fa (N). Based on the total stress load Fa (N) / L x 10, a stress load F over a width of 10 mm for the respective test pieces was calculated.
[00044] According to the measurement result, the stress stress F of the first region 71 was approximately 0.73 N / 10 mm, the stress stress F of the second region 72 being approximately 0.93 N / 10 mm and the stress of tension F of the third region 73 being approximately 0.78 N / 10 mm. The stress stress F of the first region 71 may be in a range of approximately 0.60 to 1.05 N / 10 mm, the stress stress F of the second region may be in a range of 0.80 to 1.45 N / 10 mm and the stress stress F of the third region 73, which may be in the range of approximately 0.60 to 1.20 N / 10 mm, where the stress of the first region 71 may be in a range of approximately 70 to 90%, preferably in a range of 75 to 85% of the tension stress of the second region 72 and tension stress of the second region 72, which can be approximately 15 to 50% greater than that of the third region 73. In this configuration, the tension stress of the second region 72 is established to be approximately 50% higher than in the third region 73.
[00045] Figures 6 and 7 illustrate a diaper dressing sequence 10 on a user (a) like a child for example. When it is necessary to put diaper 10 on the user (a), a person, for example the child's mother will attach the ends 22, 32 of the front and rear waist regions

16/24 with both hands so that both thumbs 2 can be placed inside, that is, on the side facing the skin of the diaper 10 and both thumbs can be removed outwards in the transversal direction X to expand the diaper 10 in the X cross direction and to widen the waist opening. During this handling to expand the front and rear waist ends 22, 32 in the front and rear waist regions 22, 32 in the X cross direction, the vicinity of the front and rear waist ends 22, 32 in the front and rear waist regions in which the first regions 71 are present, are easily expanded since the strain stress of the first regions is set to be less than that of the second regions 72. In addition, in the course of expanding the first 71 regions in the X-cross direction as described above, the front and rear waist ends 22, 32 are easily folded along the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid-absorbent structure 41. Particularly when the first regions 71 are expanded in the X cross direction with the 2 thumbs inserted in diaper 10, the ends 22, 32 of the front and rear waist regions are still folded externally.
[00046] The first regions are provided with the first elastic bands 81 attached to them which are thinner than those of the second elastic members 82 attached to the second regions 72 and, in consequence, the tension effort of the first regions 71 being sufficiently lower than that of the second regions 72 to facilitate the first regions 71 to be expanded in the X transversal direction. In addition, the number of layers in layers to form the first regions 71 respectively defined by the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41 is different from the number of leaves forming the remaining regions and the stiffness of the first regions 71 being correspondingly different from that of the remaining regions.
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 26/74
17/24
Consequently, the first and second waist regions 11, 12 are easily folded along the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41. The liquid absorbent structure 41 rests on the inner side, that is, on the side facing for the skin of the chassis and, thus, the first folded regions 71 due to the relative high rigidity of the same are easily folded on the outside, that is, on the side facing the chassis clothing.
[00047] The elastics of waist 80 are fixed in spaces between the inner and outer sheets 24, 25, 34, 35, respectively, by connection means such as heat-melted adhesives. In this way, each stiffness of these inner and outer sheets 24, 25, 34, 35 is unlikely to be increased. The first regions 71 are composed of these inner and outer sheets 24, 25, 34, 35 and thus able to maintain the desired flexibility for the first regions 71, in other words, sufficiently different in stiffness compared to the other region in which the absorbent structure liquid 41 is fixed. Thus, the first regions 71 can still be easily folded along the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid-absorbent structure 41. In addition, for the purpose of tensioning the first elastic bands of waist 81 to be established to be greater than that of the second elastic bands of waist 82, an amount of exchange that occurred in the first regions 71 due to stretching in the transverse direction X could be made greater than that occurred in the second regions 72, and as a result, the first regions 71 could be more easily expanded in the direction cross X and more easily folded.
[00048] For diaper 10 to be worn on the user's body (a) with the first regions of the same folded on the side not facing the skin, as described above, diaper 10 can be smoothly placed on the user's body without the the user's legs (a) are secured by the ends 22, 32 of the front and rear waist regions. In addition, diaper 10 may
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 27/74
18/24 be pressed upwards with the first folded regions 71 held by the fingers of the person who takes care of the child and thus the diaper can be easily worn in a desired position.
[00049] As illustrated in Figure 7, the diaper 10 may also be expanded externally in the transverse direction X from the position of Figure 6 to facilitate the respective second regions 72 of the front and rear waist regions 11, 22 to be folded along of the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of the core 42. The second regions 72 bounded by the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of the core 42, respectively, have sufficiently different stiffness from that of the core 42 to be easily folded along the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of core 42.
[00050] In the diaper having the second regions 72 folded along the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of the core 42.
[00051] In diaper 10 having the second regions 72 folded along the front and rear ends of the core 42 in this way, a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 can be substantially reduced to facilitate the legs of the user to be guided through the leg openings 16.
[00052] The dimension in the longitudinal direction T of the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 reduced in this way facilitates the diaper 10 to be pressed upwards facilitating the crotch region 13 of the diaper 10 to be placed in close contact with the crotch region of the user.
[00053] The dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 can be substantially reduced and consequently the front and rear waist regions 11, 22 can be expanded in the cross direction X over the entire area thereof. Specifically, not only the first and second regions 71, 72 but also the third regions 73 can be expanded. Particularly for the purpose that
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 28/74
19/24 the tension effort of the third regions 73 is adjusted to be lower than that of the second region 72, following the expansion of the second region, the third region will also be expanded. The elastic sheaths 51 are harmonized at a distance from the front and rear crotch ends 23, 33 of the front and rear waist members 20, 30 adjacent to the crotch region, respectively, and, as a result, the elastic sheaths 51 are unlikely to restrict expansion in the transversal X direction of the third regions 73. More specifically, the elastic sheaths 51 are fixed in a contractile manner in the longitudinal X direction, but the contractile force of these elastic 51 are unlikely to act in the third regions 73 and restrict the expansion in the transversal X direction of the third regions. regions 73.
[00054] The diaper 10 is formed symmetrically over the imaginary line extended transversely QQ and thus the ends of the front and rear waist 22, 32 can be kept in alignment with each other in the course of forming the diaper 10 with the seams 14 to make the ends front and rear 41 a, 41 b of the liquid-absorbent structure 41 annularly collinear with the front and rear ends 42a, 42b of the core 42 in the X cross direction. As a result, it will be possible to facilitate the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 to be bent along these annular collinear ends 41a, 41b, 42a, 42b. In addition, the third waist elastics 83 are fixed at a distance from the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41 without overlapping with any segment of those elastics 83. If the waist elastics are partially collinear with the front ends and rear 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41, the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 may be unnecessarily enabled to be folded along the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid absorbent structure 41, and at worst, the front waist region 11 can be folded
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 29/74
20/24 externally in order to scratch the user's belly during the diaper use. However, according to the illustrated configuration, the waist elastics 83 are harmonized out of alignment with the front and rear ends 41a, 41b of the liquid-absorbent structure 41 to prevent undesirable folding that may otherwise occur during the use of the diaper 1. [00055] The present invention is particularly applicable to diapers having a relatively small dimension in the longitudinal Y direction, which is more suitable for children. To ensure that the absorption capacity for body fluids such as urine does not increase even when the dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the diaper 10 is relatively small, it should preferably be avoided to reduce the size of the liquid absorbent structure 41 accordingly as well. Said countermeasures result in the occupation of the liquid-absorbent structure 41 in diaper 10 increases and, particularly in the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 the liquid-absorbent structure 41 occupied in a range of approximately 70 to 98% of the dimension in the longitudinal direction Y. The liquid-absorbent structure 41 generally has a relatively high rigidity and the liquid-absorbent structure having a high occupancy making it otherwise difficult to expand the diaper 10 in the X-transversal direction and thus wear the diaper on the user's body. However, according to the illustrated configuration, a tension effort of the first regions 71 extended close to the waist opening may be sufficiently reduced to facilitate the diaper 10 to be expanded in the transversal direction X and thus facilitate the diaper 10 to be worn on the body. child.
[00056] A dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the diaper 10 according to the present invention may be in a range of approximately 380 to 520 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 400 to 450 mm, in the illustrated configuration, this dimension being established in 400 mm. Similarly, a dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the limb
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 30/74
21/24 crotch 40 may be in a range of approximately 350 to 450 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 370 to 430 mm and, in the illustrated configuration, this dimension being established at approximately 380 mm. A dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the front waist member 20 defining the front waist region 11 may be in a range of approximately 80 to 130 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 80 to 130 mm, preferably in a range of 85 to 125 mm mm, in the illustrated configuration, this dimension being set at 90 mm. A dimension in the longitudinal Y direction of the rear waist member 30 defining the rear waist region 12 may be in a range of approximately 80 to 190 mm, preferably in a range of approximately 85 to 185 mm, and in the illustrated configuration, this dimension being established at approximately 90 mm.
[00057] While a plurality of elastic threads are used to elasticize the front and rear waist members 20, 30 in the X-cross direction in the illustrated configuration, the elastics for this purpose are not limited to elastic threads or threads but other various types of elastics , for example, elastic bands can be used. Similarly, various types of elastics may be used as elastic sheaths 51 and a barrier elastic sheaths 61. While the illustrated configuration uses core 42 having a dimension in the X cross direction being lower in its median section than in its front and rear median sections , it will be possible to use a core in which the dimension in cross section X is uniform across all sections.
[00058] Diaper 10 may be formed symmetrically over the imaginary line extended transversely Q-Q as in the configuration illustrated to use diaper 10 without distinction between the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 between them. This configuration allows, for example, the region of
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 31/74
22/24 front waist 11 be positioned either between the ventral side or the user's dorsal side (a). In other words, it will be unnecessary for the person who cares for the user (a) to distinguish between the front and rear sides of the diaper when diaper 10 is worn on the user's body. In this sense, diaper 10 is not limited to said configuration formed symmetrically over the imaginary centerline extended transversely Q-Q but diaper 10 may be formed non-symmetrically over the imaginary central line Q-Q. For example, diaper 10 may be implemented so that the rear waist member 30 defining the rear waist region 12 has its inner end adjacent to the crotch region 13 in addition to being extended in the crotch region 13 in order to cover the user's buttock (The).
[00059] While the first, second and third waist elastics 81, 82, 83 are fixed so as to extend continuously between the opposite side edges 21, 31 in the illustrated configuration, the present invention is not limited to said harmonization. For example, these elastics 81, 82, 83 can be harmonized in spaces so that none of these elastics are present or, even if present, the contractile force of these elastics can be reduced or lost in the region overlapping the core 42. When the contractile force of these elastics acts in a state spaced apart from each other in the transverse direction X as in the aforementioned case, the stretching radius of the same can be calculated based on a formula as follows: stretching radius = [(a dimension in the transverse direction X between the lateral edges 21, 31) / (a dimension of length A of the waist elastics spaced apart in their unstretched state) X 100]. The length dimension A in this formula can be calculated based on the formula: [(a dimension in the X transversal direction of a region in which the waist elastics are fixed) / (the stretch radius of the waist elastics) + (a dimension in the X cross direction of
Petition 870190115493, of 11/11/2019, p. 32/74
23/24 region in which the contractile strength of the waist elastics has been reduced or lost)].
[00060] While the front and rear waist regions 11, 12 are respectively divided into first, second and third regions 71,72, 73 in the illustrated configuration, the third regions 73 are not indispensable constituent elements while at least the first and second regions having the stress effort values appropriately differentiated from each other are provided to be adjacent to each other in the front and rear waist regions 11, 12, respectively. The diaper 10 constituent members are not limited to those described in this report but other types of material used in the relevant technical field may be used without limitation.
